How we keep people safe (at home and in the community)
Safety is built into our everyday practice. This includes:
- Pre-start assessment to understand health needs, routines, communication, mobility, behaviours, and what “good support” looks like
- Risk assessments for the home environment and daily activities (reviewed when things change)
- Medication safety (appropriate training, clear records, and escalation if concerns arise)
- Clear escalation pathways if someone’s condition changes (family, GP, NHS services, emergency response when needed)
- A safeguarding-aware approach, with concerns acted on promptly
