Learning Disability Support
Our goal is to help adults with learning disabilities build independence, make choices and enjoy meaningful lives at home and in the community. Support is tailored around each person’s communication, routines, strengths and goals.
Our Learning Disability Services:
Personal Care
Assistance with bathing, dressing, and hygiene. Trained support workers provide respectful and dignified support, focusing on promoting self-care skills and independence. Implementing adaptive tools and techniques for easier dressing.
Medication
Ensuring timely and accurate medication administration. Support workers trained in medication safety protocols, monitoring for side effects, and communicating with healthcare providers.
Meal Preparation
Planning and preparing nutritious and enjoyable meals, catering to dietary needs and preferences, and promoting healthy eating habits and mealtime skills. Recipes adapted for swallowing difficulties or sensory sensitivities.
Household Tasks
Assistance with cleaning, laundry, and errands, maintaining a safe and comfortable living environment, and encouraging participation in household activities.
Day Activities
Our engaging day activity programs provide meaningful opportunities for individuals with learning disabilities to develop new skills, socialize, and participate in enjoyable and stimulating activities tailored to their interests and abilities.
Outreach Support:
We provide tailored outreach support for individuals with learning disabilities in their homes and communities, empowering them to live independently through help with daily living, community access, and achieving personal goals.
Respite Care
We offer flexible respite care services, providing temporary support for family members and care givers. This allows carers to take a break, knowing their loved one is receiving high-quality, person-centred care in a safe and supportive environment.
Behavioural Support:
Our team uses positive behavioural support and PROACT-SCIPr-informed approaches where staff hold current training and authorisation relevant to their role. Strategies are person-centred, proactive, least restrictive and reviewed around the individual.
"I can't say enough about the outstanding service I received from your company. Their team went above and beyond to meet our needs and exceeded our expectations, my son went from self harming daily to having a fulfilling life with meaning."
