Planned Respite Support
Planned respite can give families and unpaid carers a break while the person receives familiar, person-centred support.
Who we support
We support adults aged 18 to 65 with learning disabilities, autism or complex needs. Our core service areas are Westminster, Hammersmith & Fulham and Barnet; other areas may be considered case by case.
How respite is arranged
We discuss the person’s needs, communication, routines, medication, mobility, risks, preferences and goals. Availability, location, staffing, activities and duration are agreed after assessment and depend on the support options available at the time.
What support may include
An agreed plan may include personal care, medication support, meals, daily routines, community activities and person-specific complex-care support where staff are trained and assessed as competent.
Contact us to discuss planned respite. We respond to new enquiries within one day. This service should not be treated as an emergency placement service.
